Hi lovelies! Happy Friday to all!

I'm in the BEST mood today. Jon asked last night if he could take Chloe to see Miley Cyrus. He only got two tickets, and asked if he could take her. This elates me because, 1. He is too freakin cute to want to take her, and 2. I can't freakin stand her, so I get out of going but Chloe still gets to see her!

I also finished my sister's button bouquet for her birthday. She was my MOH, but she didn't want to stand in the ceremony, and I ran out of time before I could make her a black and ivory one, so I made her a blue, cream and brown one that better matches her house. I love this one. I'm torn now because everyone wants one, and I have the materials to make them as Christmas presents, but Holy God they are a lot of work. I know I want to make my mom one, and my best friend at work, and my best friend in life. I just don't know if I can do that by Christmas. I don't know if you can see this, but here goes:

That IS cute about Jon It's great when they think of things like that on their own I have a 91 yr old great-aunt who's in an assisted living place near us and we see her almost every week, but Tommy had the idea to get her take-out and go and eat dinner with her since she says the food there is awful. We did it last night and she just loved it.

I'm exhausted today because the neighbor across the street was drumming to Alice in Chains until midnight. But we're going bowling tonight with a bunch of people so that should be fun if I can stay awake

I'm putting all my wedding crap on eBay and in a for sale bio and then moving it to my basement until it sells. Holy living room mess. I need to make room for the Christmas tree and the leg lamp!

My day just improved by 237% at least! I have two discontinued chairs in my office that I bought for $20 each, and we had an order come in for two of them, so production came in and asked if they could trade me those two chairs for two chairs of my choice! Meaning, I just traded my $40 worth of chairs for about $3600 worth of chairs. SqueemotherfuckingSQUEEEE!

I have a funny afro story, cacoffer. When I was about 5yrs old, my mom's best friend had two little boys and we used to get together almost every week to play while our moms had girl time. We decided one day to make my hair all pretty and full and curly like their mom's (she was rocking the late 70s afro with the big scarf around her forehead!). Now, I don't know if you can see in my pics or not, but I have the hair of an average asian, meaning it's super straight, super slick and wouldn't keep a tease if my life depended on it.

Our moms walked in to find two little boys teasing and rubbing my waist-length hair into horrible knots and spraying it with every kind of hair product we could find under the bathroom sink trying to give me an afro. I was SO upset to find out I'd never have one.

So funny, Bec! It's almost like some of my friends when we were younger, tying towels around our heads pretending to have long silky locks!

Think of it now, though... with weaves anything is possible. Now, you could literally buy an afro! All is not lost!

Morning ladies! My day hasn't started off exactly well...bad fog this morning, so I was 25 minutes late to work.

I did get the coolest wedding gift last night though - my friend (and one of our ushers) sent us the new Super Mario Bros. for the Wii. LOVE IT

Hey ladies - Jennifer, we had fog here, too. It wasn't the bitch it has been the past few days, though. Traction sand barrels have gone out though, so winter's here.

My day is much better than yesterday. It started out REALLY crappy, but it's gotten a bit better. We got up this morning to find our problems with the bank had escalated to an even crazier point, so we went in this morning, closed the account, and went to another bank. The new bank is basically going to pay us to keep our money there. This change makes me very happy.

So then I ran in to my office and talked to my coworker (who is also switching from the crappy bank we used to use, and is now considering our new bank). He told me that our biggest competitor is going out of business, so that made me even happier.

I'm trying to get a bunch of work done so I can leave early. I'm driving to Vegas! FI is already there, he flew out this morning. Boo.

Vegas! I'm so jealous. Where are you staying?

Paris! I've never stayed there, but I've been in the casino and I've gone up in the Eiffel Tower to see the Bellagio water show from up there. That was about... 4 years ago? I think it was the first time I went to Vegas. Anyway, I think Paris is very pretty and centrally located, so I've been trying to convince FI to go to Vegas and stay there. As it turns out, his best friend is in Vegas this weekend for a conference and is staying there.

We have reservations for dinner at Fleur de Lys at Mandalay Bay, too. Sascha told me it was awesome and the head chef was on Top Chef Masters. So was the head chef at the Eiffel Tower restaurant for that matter...

I only live about 300 miles away, so this is probably the 6th time I've been to Vegas.
